I care, man!
The phrase "blood, toil, tears and sweat" was first uttered on 2. July 1849 by Giuseppe Garibaldi when rallying his revolutionary forces in Rome. However, the phrase became well known after a speech given by Winston Churchill to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the UK on 13. May 1940. "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat". From Sep 2010 to Apr/May 2011 I will try to bike from San Francisco to Santiago. I know this bicycle journey will offer me toil, sweat and joy.

My camp one night
Ididn´t know that it was no hotel/motel along the road between Costa Rica and Panama border. It was late and the next city was around 80km, to much to bike in the dark. So I went to a restaurant and asked them I could sleep outside, but luckily a man came and he knew a family who had a extra bed in a shed. I paid around 20NOK for this night. Not so good sleep, but better outside in the rain.
The beaches on the pacific coast
Costa Rica wildlife along the road
Others out there
Juan and Rafa from Spain. I met them in Nicaragua, close to Costa Rica border. They was cool and nice. Unfortunately they was biking the other way. From Argentina to Alaska, twice as much as me.
When I met people like them, give me inspiration to continue. I am not alone out there.
Good luck boys and thanks for the coke.
