Toil, sweat and joy

The phrase "blood, toil, tears and sweat" was first uttered on 2. July 1849 by Giuseppe Garibaldi when rallying his revolutionary forces in Rome. However, the phrase became well known after a speech given by Winston Churchill to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the UK on 13. May 1940. "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat". From Sep 2010 to Apr/May 2011 I will try to bike from San Francisco to Santiago. I know this bicycle journey will offer me toil, sweat and joy.

Zacatecas

I was little bit disappointed about the city Zacatecas, maybe because I heard so much positive about it from every Mexicans.
From Wikipedia: start as a Spanish mining camp in the mid 16th century. Prior to this, the area’s rich deposits in silver and other minerals were known. Due to the wealth that the mines provided, Zacatecas quickly became one of the most important cities in New Spain. Today, the city center is a World Heritage Site, due to the Baroque and other structures built during its mining heyday and mining still remains an important industry.
