The phrase "blood, toil, tears and sweat" was first uttered on 2. July 1849 by Giuseppe Garibaldi when rallying his revolutionary forces in Rome.
However, the phrase became well known after a speech given by Winston Churchill to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the UK on 13. May 1940.
"I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat".
From Sep 2010 to Apr/May 2011 I will try to bike from San Francisco to Santiago.
I know this bicycle journey will offer me toil, sweat and joy.

next time i am going to Peru, i will go the inca trail. the landscape and the history is so amazing. the route take 4 days and 3 nights. the best runner who has rund the inca trail used little bit more than 3 hours, is unbelievably. my shape is really bad, i have played football 2 times in La Paz on 4000m, i am really bad. so tired after only 5 minutes and my legs is a like a gel.
Its normal to be tired that high and it takes many weeks to be acclimatized in that height:-) It took me 5 days in eldoret and thats only half of what u do...I would hv done the trail in 3,5 hour then ;-) Its 3 of sept and then 10th of sept for the traditional wedding. Look forward to talk to u when u get home, give us a hint when time comes;-) You rock harder buddy! Will send invitations soon, but think my whole family comes + u and Magnus/Janne;-) Can invite a few more, but i see u guys as the best men:-) Hope u wanna be my best man?
